Having been a Noel Gallagher fan from the early Oasis days, I’ve followed him both physically (to concerts) and with my wallet (buying the records) so with the latter in mind, I thought I’d pull together a ‘Top 7 Noel Gallagher Records to Own’ list. The list will comprise of the top 7 records with the biggest price increase. From original selling price to the current average sold price, using Discogs, eBay and Popsike as a reference.

The criteria/disclaimers: 1 – It has to be on vinyl. 2 – It has to have been available to the general public across the UK (exclusive pop up shops/markets aren’t eligible). 3 – Where the original product was only sold online (i.e. noelgallagher.com etc) this cost has been included as it couldn’t be avoided 4 – Some of the sold prices will include free postage, some won’t. Therefore, the average sold prices are just an estimate and may not be 100% accurate and don’t include the postage price. 5 – The % increase is based on the items original sale prices. Now the disclaimers are done, here’s the top 7 In reverse order.
Number 7 Holy Mountain – Picture Disc

Number 6 Vinyl Singles Box Set
A noelgallagher.com exclusive, this was a collection of the 5 singles released from the High Flying Birds debut album. Packaged together in a gatefold box accompanied with a numbered polaroid style art card of the artwork from one of the singles. It barely made the top 7 but on a personal note, it’s a nice box set to own. nb, there were two versions of this for sale, the complete version with the singles included, or the empty version for those who had already purchased the singles separately. Original cost – £30 + obligatory £6.99 shipping = £36.99 Originally available – www.noelgallagher.com Current est value: Popsike average of sold copies = £74 Discogs average of sold copies = £90.02 eBay average of last 3 sold copies = £69.50 Average of the above 3 = £77.84 A price increase of 210%

Number 4 AKA… What A Life! / Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me – UNKLE Reworks (Sour Mash) 12″, Single, Ltd, Promo, W/Lbl
Back in the days of Oasis, a white label was as rare as a Gallagher fall out. However, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds seem to be a little reluctant to release these and to date, we only have this one. I found this relatively late but still managed to secure a copy from an online European dance record shop. Original cost – €10.99 (£9.73) from European online store (for me, other options would have been available) Originally available – Any good independent record shop. Current est value: Popsike average of sold copies = £26 Discogs average of sold copies = £38.18 eBay average of last 3 sold copies = £27.50 Average of the above 3 = £30.56 A price increase of 314%

Original cost – £4.99 + obligatory £3 postage = £7.99 Originally available – www.noelgallagher.com Current est value: Popsike average of sold copies = £41 Discogs average of sold copies = £49.94 eBay average of last 3 sold copies = £31.11 Average of the above 3 = £40.68 A price increase of 509%

Number 1 And the winner is…Songs From The Great White North…
The first and by far the best Record Store Day exclusive from Noel Gallagher. Unlike the recent releases, which you can still get for face value or even less, this release was exclusive. Only 2000 copies were pressed and each one was individually numbered. Original cost – £4 (though this was at the discretion of the shop) Originally available – Any UK RSD participating shop Current est value: Popsike average of sold copies = £38 Discogs average of sold copies = £42.88 eBay average of last 3 sold copies = £65.11 Average of the above 3 = £48.66 A price increase of 1216%
