Selling records on eBay
Previously I proposed an experiment. Sell 7 mint records over 7 different days. Here are the results for selling records on ebay, listed in sales order, over roughly a 5 month period.
Friday
Watchers 1 hour prior to selling – 19
No of bids – 12
No of bidders – 6
Sold price – £44 + £3.99 shipping
Wednesday
Watchers 1 hour prior to selling – 19
No of bids – 18
No of bidders – 7
Sold price = £48 free shipping
Monday
Watchers 1 hour prior to selling – 15
No of bids – 12
No of bidders – 6
Sold price = £30 free shipping
Tuesday
Watchers 1 hour prior to selling – 16
No of bids – 12
No of bidders – 6
Sold price = £63 free shipping
Thursday
Watchers 1 hour prior to selling – 18
No of bids – 14
No of bidders -9
Sold price = £34 free shipping
Saturday
Watchers 1 hour prior to selling – 22
No of bids – 16
No of bidders – 6
Sold price = £38.00 free shipping
Sunday
Watchers 1 hour prior to selling – 19
No of bids – 10
No of bidders – 6
Sold price = £41 free shipping
Worthy to note that there was another seller to compete with, theirs sold for £50 + £5 postage only 30 mins earlier which was frustrating.
In Summary
Considering all the potential variants and throwing them to one side, my less than scientific experiment has determined that the best day for eBay results to sell…is a Tuesday.
Unfortunately the source of my 7 mint and sealed records has come to a close, so until I can find another pot of gold under a rainbow. That’s my experiment concluded.
